Hinged Derail Base Plate for Steel Ties

Weld Base Plate to 3 steel ties to provide foundation for bolting one-way or two-way hinged derail. No alteration of track is necessary. Base plate is designed to accommodate Pandrol clips. (Derail is not included with base plate, order separately.)

Tie-Biting Hook ...

The notches on a portable derail secure the derail against the tie plate. But the dynamic forces at work during a derail can cause the notch to slip off the tie plate. If the notch slips and patented SaberTooth red hook bites into the tie to keep the derail in place.
